Hospice of Odessa's mission is to “Care from the heart to fulfill the unique needs of patients and families” through home hospice, palliative care, and grief counseling. Our goals are: To provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families. To provide emotional and spiritual support to the patient’s family, friends, and other involved persons during and after terminal illness. To educate members of the community on all issues relating to death, loss, grief, and bereavement through training, caregiver support classes, support groups, and community. To provide community-wide bereavement programs which include our outreach program Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre.
Hospice of Odessa has the most experience and expertise in end-of-life care in our region as it relates to home hospice, palliative care, and grief counseling. We provide our services in your home, in an independent or assisted living facility, skilled nursing facility, or in the hospital.
We provide emotional and spiritual support to the patient’s family, friends, and other involved persons during and after terminal illness. We offer the most extensive bereavement program of any hospice in the Permian Basin, including individual counseling, a variety of support groups, and a free summer camp for children grieving the loss of someone they love. In addition, services are open to anyone in our community who needs them.
Hospice of Odessa offers family and child grief counseling through our Rays of Hope Grief Centre. Palliative care and home hospice care is offered in Midland, Ector, Martin, Glasscock and Upton Counties.
Through the generosity of donors like you, Hospice of Odessa was able to help over 650 West Texas families last year, regardless of the families' ability to pay. Hospice Care, hospice grief support and palliative care are always free.
